Author Gabriella Day is a GP and homeopath

Dr Gabriella Day is a GP and homeopath. Over more than 20 years of practice as a doctor she has striven to get to the bottom of people’s problems, rather than simplycover them up with medication. This has led her on a voyage of discovery, gaining insights from spiritual teachers, complementary practitioners, psychologists and even literature. Having three children of her own and learning about child development and the neuro-developmental differences many of us harbour, has led her to many insights into how we try to mould and medicate people to fit defective systems.

Fundamental to her perspective is her questioning of religious teachings that encourage us to believe it is noble to suffer. This assertion has done massive harm and much of it through misinterpretation of the teachings of great spiritual leaders.

How might we thrive when we start to recognise, accept and even celebrate our uniqueness?

Gabriella hopes that her alternative way of viewing our challenges will help many to transform their lives and begin to live the lives they were always meant to live.

In her book, ‘In Defence of the Realm’, she seeks to lead you to a place where your own unique voice is placed back on its rightful throne and the voices that have convinced you that you are not worthy, are firmly displaced.
